Hugo Ekitike is confident he has avoided a serious injury despite being forced off during Liverpool 1-0 loss to Galatasaray according to James Pearce of The Athletic.
The French striker believes the issue is more of a minor strain rather than anything severe meaning he could still feature against Chelsea this weekend.
Speaking after the match manager Arne Slot expressed hope that Ekitike condition is not too serious though scans will still be required to determine the extent of the problem.
Ekitike had already missed Liverpool last Premier League match against Crystal Palace due to suspension.
